About iWapper App for MAC
THHdesign took wraps off a new application called “iWapper” that allows everyone to set up their own WAP server in no time. WAP (wireless application protocol) sites are a special kind of websites (in XML/WML format) that can be displayed on many cell phones (works best with GPRS/3G UMTS). Until today, setting up a proprietary WAP server has been a big fuss and tools to set up WAP Web pages are extremely rare. But now there is help: iWapper can do it all for you — and even for free (or for a tiny fee, if you want to remove an “powered by iWapper” link on the bottom of every generated page)! iWapper can generate WAP sites for you; not only you can use text styles, images and place links (even download links, email links and phone call links are possible!); iWapper can also store clips from real-world www-webpages in an intelligent way, so that it can update dynamic content automatically and put it into WAP files. Moreover, iWapper generates an automatic WAP index page for you — easy and fast! You choose yourself whether you want iWapper to be Freeware or Shareware; the freeware version has all the same functions of the shareware one, but puts a “powered by iWapper” link on the bottom of every generated WAP page.
Freeware — (with an “powered by iWapper” link on each generated page)
Shareware $15 USD — (removes “powered by iWapper” link on each page)

New Features
Version 2.0 adds support for RSS news feeds. The new iBrowser 2.0 RSS window included in iWapper can automatically detect RSS links on Web pages and shows a dedicated (orange colored) RSS button. Hitting that button easily switches into RSS view. Storing RSS feeds does even include an option to limit the number of pieces of news per RSS feed (can be set individually for each feed) to keep traffic on your cell phone network as low as possible. RSS feeds are generally more reliable than HTML clipped pieces of news. Besides, iBrowser 2.0 RSS sports an improved view of standard HTML pages and displays more special characters (as used in western european languages). Also, iWapper 2.0 comes with a smart new WAP Text function that allows you to convert text files to WAP on the fly – so that you can check your system dump files of your server from anywhere in the world via WAP. Last not least, iWapper offers you new options to vary the text size (size changes might not be displayed on all cell phones) and a way to switch on or off support for the “$” dollar sign (quite some popular cell phones cannot display that sign and will abort loading a WAP page if they encounter it…).

You don’t have to put your programs in the Applications folder, though: they’ll run from anywhere. Some people create a “Games” directory, to keep games separate from other applications. But Applications is the most convenient place to put things, so we suggest you just put everything there.
DMG files are mounted by your system, like a sort of virtual hard drive. When you’re done installing the application, it’s a good idea to unmount the DMG in Finder.
