About OmniWeb App for MAC
OmniWeb is designed to provide you with the best user experience you’ll find in a Web browser.
People who use and love the Mac (and Mac OS X in particular) do so because of the sum of all the little things; the attention to detail that makes the Mac user experience superior. Omni knows this, and built the only browser that has the same level of detail. OmniWeb draws on the full beauty of Mac OS X’s Quartz graphics, and truly leverages the Aqua interface with drawers, sheets, customizable toolbars, and more.
More than just a pretty face, OmniWeb comes packed with cool features that make your time on the Web more efficient, and more fun. OmniWeb puts you in charge of your browsing experience rather than viewing you as a source of personal information and advertising revenue, as some other browsers do.
New Features

A note from developer: these unstable and untested builds are snapshots of our development, updated every few hours. This means that you might actually be the first person to try a particular build and discover that it eats your system. (We hope that doesn’t happen, of course, but since we won’t have tested the app before giving you access we can’t make any guarantees.)
- macOS 11 Compatibility – Implemented support for catching crashes on macOS 11 (Big Sur)
- Disable JavaScript – Reimplemented the site and global preference for enabling and disabling JavaScript. (This setting requires macOS 11.)

Installing Apps on MAC

- First, download the OmniWeb .dmg installation file from the official link on above
- Double-click the DMG file to open it, and you’ll see a Finder window.
- Often these will include the application itself, some form of arrow, and a shortcut to the Applications folder.
- Simply drag the application’s icon to your Applications folder
- And you’re done: the OmniWeb is now installed.
- When you’re done installing: just click the “Eject” arrow.
- Then you can feel free to delete the original DMG file: you don’t need it anymore.
- Now, enjoy OmniWeb for MAC !
You don’t have to put your programs in the Applications folder, though: they’ll run from anywhere. Some people create a “Games” directory, to keep games separate from other applications. But Applications is the most convenient place to put things, so we suggest you just put everything there.
DMG files are mounted by your system, like a sort of virtual hard drive. When you’re done installing the application, it’s a good idea to unmount the DMG in Finder.
