About Due App for MAC
Due lets you type “Make dinner reservation at 9am tomorrow” and your reminder is set for 9 AM tomorrow. “Cancel subscription in 1 month” and you get a buzz a month later. Just tell Due in your own words what you’d like to do, and when you’d like to be reminded.
There are no awkward date pickers to fight with, nor rigid date and time format to follow. Your reminder is set as soon as you’re done typing. Due makes sure things actually get done by keeping you on your toes, sending you periodic reminders until you actually mark the reminders complete.
Features
- Fast. Really fast. Reminders are set as soon as you finish typing what to do, and when to do it.
- Natural date and time parsing. No awkward date pickers nor rigid date and time format to follow. Set due date and time by typing what is natural to you. “4pm” works just as fine as “4:00 PM” or “16:00”, and “Aug 22” works as well as “22 August” or “8/22”. Relative dates like “in 20 mins” or “in 6 months” work too.
New Features
Version 21.4:
- Notification snooze: Snooze directly from notifications. Quickly postpone reminders without using the app. (Available on macOS Big Sur and later)
- Specify time as default due date. You can now choose to use a specific time as the default due date for new reminders. For example, the due date of newly-created reminders can default to 9:30 am.
- You can now choose to suppress the confirmation prompt when editing recurring reminders by choosing to always use “Only This Occurrence” (thanks Vitor G.)
- Interacting with a reminder notification when Due’s window is closed no longer results in incorrect display and grouping of reminders (thanks Russell D.)
- The selection box of a single reminder cell at the last section now has rounded corners at the bottom
- Dropbox sync has been updated to ensure that it continues to work properly after Sep 2021
- Improved the localization for Show/Hide Window shortcut recorder control
- Postponing an unedited reminder with the Postpone by
- keyboard shortcuts/menu items when the editor is opened now properly brings up the overlay screen
- Changing the repeat option of an existing reminder with repeat-on-completion setting now opens the repeat editor with a control in focused

- First, download the Due .dmg installation file from the official link on above
- Double-click the DMG file to open it, and you’ll see a Finder window.
- Often these will include the application itself, some form of arrow, and a shortcut to the Applications folder.
- Simply drag the application’s icon to your Applications folder

- Then you can feel free to delete the original DMG file: you don’t need it anymore.

You don’t have to put your programs in the Applications folder, though: they’ll run from anywhere. Some people create a “Games” directory, to keep games separate from other applications. But Applications is the most convenient place to put things, so we suggest you just put everything there.
DMG files are mounted by your system, like a sort of virtual hard drive. When you’re done installing the application, it’s a good idea to unmount the DMG in Finder.
