About Photomatix Plugin for Aperture App for MAC
Photomatix Plugin for Aperture is an edit plugin for Aperture 2.1 or later offers HDR and tone mapping.
New Features
Version 3.0:
- New Tone Mapping method named Contrast Optimizer. It is good at producing realistic-looking results while still enhancing shadows and highlights. Contrast Optimizer comes with two additional built-in Presets: ‘Balanced’ (second on the list) and ‘Vibrant’.
- Option to refresh Preview continuously as slider moves. You can enable it on the Preferences panel.
- Ability to adjust the Deghosting strength.
- Option in Preferences to import the saved image, which is checked by default. Importing the saved image makes it possible to choose between JPEG (default), TIFF 8-bit or TIFF 16-bit to save the image as, as well as to add a suffix to the file name of the saved image (default is “_HDR”). Note, however, that importing the saved image has the drawback of moving the saved image at the top of your current project when viewed in Aperture’s Browser and Viewer.
- Bug fixed: On some configurations, Aperture sometimes reported the saved image in error with the message “Unsupported Image Format Error”. Note, however, that unchecking the “Import saved image” option on the Preferences panel reverts to the previous behaviour.
- Help is now in the form of a 22 pages user manual.
